The Bucket List

Last Sunday was Week 1 of our series At The Movies. The movie of choice: The Bucket List. My bad for not supplying Kleenex! :)

During the teaching segments of the video, we encouraged people to think about their "God List" - those things they would like to accomplish for God or see him do in their lives. Then, we took it a step further. We asked everyone to "text in" their items to us, so we could post them on the screen during the closing music set... powerful!

If you'd like to see what people wrote in, you can get to the list by clicking here. If you couldn't make it Sunday or live out of town - feel free to add your own items at the bottom of the page!

At The Movies Promo

This Sunday we begin our At The Movies series - and you won't want to miss it, as this is a LIVE-ONLY event! Due to the extensive film content, we will be unable to make the messages available on the internet.

If you come, we promise to make it worth your while. We'll be serving popcorn and drinks, as well as providing some movie soundtrack cover songs and giving away free movie passes to 1st-time guests who bring in the coupon we have available on our website or featured on the front page of this Saturday's edition of the Times Free Press.

Below is our video promo for the series - special thanks to Lil' John and Andy for taking time out of their super busy "feed, wake, sleep cycles" to perform for us!

Hope you enjoy it... and we look forward to seeing you THIS SUNDAY - 10AM at RAVE MOTION PICTURES!

Closing Out the Q Series and Saying Goodbye to Summer!

Enjoyed answering everyone's questions over the past 4 weeks... may do it again sometime. And I am happy to say The Net has survived its first summer. This can be one of the hardest humps to get over for a new church - thanks to all of you who stayed with us for the past few months. As for the rest of those who call The Net their home... we look forward to welcoming you back with open arms next weekend, as we begin our new series: At The Movies. More on that as the week progresses.

As for now, I leave you with a clip from this weekend's message. If you would like to see the 26-minute message in its entirety, you can click here.

Have a great week!

Message Follow Up: Archaeological Finds

As promised in yesterday's message on historical proof of the bible, here are a few links for you to study, if you so choose:

Did Jesus Exist?

In addition, I stumbled across an interesting article in the Times Free Press this morning. It's about a group of students and faculty from Southern Adventist University who are on the archaeological hunt to give greater proof to King David's dynasty.

Is It All True?

This weekend in our Q Series we answered questions surrounding the authenticity of the bible and the historical proof of Jesus Christ. I had a blast delivering the message. Here's a video we showed near the end of it - highlighting some of the prophecies fulfilled by Christ.
